What happened when we tested it
We ran this twice. The first version filled the room with people we never asked for — a crowd of strangers in suits behind her — and left a brown smudge in the hand holding the glass. 'I am the only person in the photo' and 'hold the glass by the stem' fixed both in round two. Confetti still drifts toward the face: 'not across my face' cut it to a single piece by the cheek rather than removing it.
